R.A.V.E Bus Visits Stratton Upper School - Biggleswade

The R.A.V.E. bus was at Stratton Upper School on Thursday 13th November 2008. The bus, which was attended by over 120 students. It was there over the lunchtime break and provided a way to involve the students in the Biggleswade Town Plan and find out their views on what they like and do not like about the town.

Lots of suggestions were placed on the graffiti walls that varied from the desire for a cinema and bowling alley to organized youth activities and more clubs and groups.

All the ideas will feed into the final town plan and will also be used by the students at Stratton Upper to help produce a youth questionnaire to provide some more detailed information on the views of young people in Biggleswade.

The R.A.V.E. bus (or Rural Area Vehicle for Education) is operated by the Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity.

It is a mobile venue which can be used as a youth or community meeting place, a focal point of contact or a mobile office.
